Trying to get rid of acne can be a difficult thing but if you know what you are doing then you should be able to clear up your skin in a very short time. There is a lot of misinformation regarding acne and you have probably heard a lot of talk that you can get rid of acne drinking water and eating good food.

The reality is a little bit different and more complicated than this. Skin hygiene and diet do not cause acne but can make the problem worse. The real issue is that a person can have an excess of oil in their body which can block up the pores. Bacteria then spreads which cause red blotches and can break out into acne or blackheads.

If you can cut down on sugary foods entirely and stay away from junk food which is highly processed and is difficult to fully digest then you are making a good start.

But it may be necessary to also take medication to deal with the problem.
