<p>A detox is simply getting rid of all the toxins in the body which have accumulated within the cells, digestive system and fat tissues over a period of time. These toxins are the result of the foods we eat especially from processed, fast foods, refined sugars, animal fats, and even cooked foods.</p>
<p>It very important that these toxins are removed from the body as soon as possible for optimum health, or better yet, keep them out of the body altogether.</p>
<p>Here are the top ten reasons why you should give your body a detox every once in a while.</p>
<p>1.) Avoid the risks of degenerative diseases such as all types of cancers, diabetes, alzheimer&#8217;s, and heart disease. Toxins within the body destroy the good cells, and it is when the bad cells take over that disease kicks in. So by keeping the toxins out, we can avoid almost all diseases.</p>
<p>2.) Strengthen the immune system. When the immune system is down, one is more likely to get sick with the cold, flu, and other sicknesses and diseases.</p>
<p>3.) Enjoy a long and healthy life. When the body is clean it is better able to absorb essential nutrients which help the body to function better, plus it is not weighed down by all the harmful toxins.</p>

<p>Our immune systems are under the attack. Due to increased polltion and decreased quality regulations on everyday products, our bodies now have to work harder than ever before to keep us in a state of questionable health. And if that weren&#8217;t bad enough, they are forced to operate without the necessary tools because we fail to consume adequate nutrients&#8230;then we wonder why so many people get sick. Because a healthy immune system will actually help guard against cancer and heart disease, as well as lesser issues like frequent illness and acne, it is important that we give it the best care we can.<br />
1) Exercise<br />
Exercising helps to circulate lymph fluid, white blood cells that fight disease-causing pathogens.<br />
2) Take a Multi-Vitamin<br />
&#8220;The alarming fact is that foods (fruits, vegetables, and grains) now being raised on millions of acres of land that no longer contain enough of certain minerals are starving us &#8211; no matter how much of them we eat. No man today can eat enough fruits and vegetables to supply his (or her) system with the minerals he requires for perfect health because his stomach isn&#8217;t big enough to hold them ? The truth is that our foods vary enormously in value, and some them aren&#8217;t worth eating as food ? The best way to avoid becoming ill from bacterial contact is to strengthen our resistance against it.<br />
