An Acne Product That is Scientifically Approved

Author: Luke Henderson
Source: ezinearticles.com

People are affected by acne every day. Not only do they have gross skin that nobody wants to have to look at, they have a severely lowered confidence and self-esteem. People are afraid to go out in public because they are afraid that others will see. And why is this? It isn’t because they haven’t made any attempts at clearing there skin. It is because they have made the attempts, maybe even several attempts at getting rid of acne, but none of them work.

There are all sorts of medications in all sorts of drugstores that claim to clear acne. The reason that these medications seem to have little or no effect is because you have to use them consistently, or the acne comes right back. This is the bad thing about medications such as pills and ointments. If you do not take, say, exactly two pills a day every day, then the results you will get will be little. The same goes for ointments. You have to apply it to your face, in some cases multiple times per day, and you still get few results. The reason why – these products attempt to treat the problem at the skin. If all you ever do is apply treatments to your face, you are only masking the problem, not eliminating it.

What you need to do to stop your acne for good is this – you need to learn about a program that will stop acne at its source, rather than at the skin. You need to learn about a scientifically approved product that uses natural remedies to clear your skin with long-lasting effects. Although there is much to be learned about this process, it is surprisingly simple to go through with, and if you would like to learn more about how you can do this, find out more at the webpage below!

Why Antibiotics Will Make Your Acne Worse

Author: Tanya Zafino
Source: articlerich.com

The one thing that a dermatologist will unlikely tell you is that the medicine he is giving you will ultimately make your acne worse.

Take for example the antibiotic that he has given you. Sure, it seems to work for a while, then all of a sudden the acne comes back, and worse than before.

Why is this?

The reason for this is that the bacteria in your skin have developed resistance to the antibiotic and an increased dose will do nothing to make the bacteria go away.

Additionally, with the antibiotic killing all the bacteria in your body, it is killing more good bacteria than ‘bad’ bacteria.

The good bacteria are essential for the health of your gastrointestinal tract. Good bacteria ensure that the yeast Candida is kept to a minimum. Yet when you kill all these bacteria in your gastrointestinal tract, you are giving the Candida the green light to explode in population.

When Candida explodes in population, there are many consequences for your body. Thrush is the most common example. When you allow the population of Candida to soar in your gastrointestinal tract, the Candida will explode in population everywhere else in, or on, your body. Candida will also grow in your skin and cause acne.

If you take antibiotics to kill bacteria, you are guaranteed to make your acne worse.

There is actually no need to take antibiotics to kill bacteria in order to eliminate your acne.

Why is this?

Because the bacteria in your skin does not cause acne. It is one of the great modern myths that bacteria causes acne. This is simply not true.

The bacteria in your skin are completely harmless. Only when you inflict a wound to your skin do you notice how important it is to clean the wound in order for the wound not to become infected by bacteria. But the bacteria do not cause the wound in the first place!

And it is exactly the same with acne. An acne sufferer’s skin produces excessive oil and this excessive oil causes the skin to rupture. The bacteria then infect this rupture just as they do with any wound. The body responds by sending in thousands of white blood cells to kill the bacteria.

The resulting swelling from the white blood cells is acne. If it is deep under the skin, it is cystic acne or if the white puss is visible beneath the skin it is a whitehead.

The best way to prevent acne is to prevent the damage occurring to your skin in the first place. Doing this will not require antibiotics, just a change in your diet.

So Have You Now Learned to Care For Your Acne?

Author: Jimmy Woodall
Source: ezinearticles.com

Acne is the most common skin condition that affects people of all ages with teens at the top of the list. The most common forms of acne seen are blackheads, pustules, papules, and whiteheads.

A lot of people manage to develop a very bad form of acne which causes cysts and scars and this type is only made worse by the person being in the sun so where do we go from here? Even though this is a common condition it starts to become very serious by this point.

Actually the problem is created by a problem with the oil glands of the skin called sebaceous glands. In normal conditions these glands provide just the correct amount of oil to keep the skin smooth.

A lot of times the more serious cases are treated with steroids which is supposed to help reduce the inflammation. Some persons have to do clipping and put daily applications of chlorohexidine. Seems that most of us are able to outgrow these conditions by the time we are in our early twenties. However there are a lot of women who carry it into their 30s and 40s some even to the 50s. With severe cases being causing emotional and physical scars.

Almost seventeen million people here in the United States have this acne condition, thus it is the most common of skin diseases we carry. If you are very discreet and careful with the regular cleaning and if good hygiene is used, usually this type blackheads and whiteheads known as comedones will clear up pretty easily.

In many cases inflammation develops your pustules to where they begin to contain the semi-liquid as well as liquid materials composed of cells of white blood. Most of the time these are dead because of the acne infected bacteria, as well as dead skin cells and inactive bacteria. Usually this can result into a more serious form of acne called cysts.

You should wash your face properly two times each day. Do not listen to the ones who tell you that you need to wash more, two times per day is enough. It will help some if you get a little sunshine and take a zinc vitamin tablet but you are cautioned– do not overdo it. Take only the recommended amount.

Just wash two times daily, do not wash more often. Use a gentle cleanser and do it two times daily along with the proper acne treatment–

Vitamin Deficiency And Acne

Author: Henry Jordan -
Source: articledashboard.com

In today’s fast food society, it is no wonder that diet is such an extreme issue. It is almost impossible for anybody to maintain a healthy diet now-a-days. Health organizations estimate that only 10-20% even consume the recommended amounts of the most important vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. This is a startling low number and simply results from the fact that a healthy diet is very hard to maintain.

In order to be able to maintain a healthy body and in order to be able to have clear, healthy, acne free skin, it is important to consume the recommended amount of many crucial vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. However, diet alone often falls short of this. Fast foods don’t contain many vitamins and minerals in the first place, people usually don’t have time to try and prepare full, healthy, rounded meals, and even the foods purchased in stores now have many of their vitamins and minerals taken out of them in order to help them stay fresh longer.

For these reasons, it is often necessary to look elsewhere in order to get the right amounts of vitamins and minerals each day. Foods and diet will almost always still lead to some short of deficiency, no matter how careful one tries to be, and therefore it become necessary often times to look to supplements in order to fill the gap. Supplements can be extremely helpful in ensuring the body receives the vitamins and minerals it needs to be healthy.

Supplements are not a bad thing and are not some sort of “short cut.” Many people think they are cheating themselves by taking a vitamin supplement but this simply isn’t so. Most one-a-day vitamin supplements are extremely useful for the simple fact that they will help to provide the body with the essential vitamins and minerals it needs. People also worry about then consuming too much of certain vitamins and minerals due to the combination of the supplement and eating. Again, this is almost never a problem since the supplements only provide the minimum recommended amounts each day, meaning that there is plenty of ceiling room left above that.

When foods and dieting simply aren’t cutting it, it is good to look for a vitamin supplement. Your body needs the vitamins and minerals and to deprive it of them would be extremely unhealthy.

Dealing With Acne – Stop the Problem at Its Core So it Does Not Come Back

Author: Alex Spelling
Source: ezinearticles.com

Trying to get rid of acne can be a difficult thing but if you know what you are doing then you should be able to clear up your skin in a very short time. There is a lot of misinformation regarding acne and you have probably heard a lot of talk that you can get rid of acne drinking water and eating good food.

The reality is a little bit different and more complicated than this. Skin hygiene and diet do not cause acne but can make the problem worse. The real issue is that a person can have an excess of oil in their body which can block up the pores. Bacteria then spreads which cause red blotches and can break out into acne or blackheads.

This can lead to a person becoming very self conscious and lower confidence. Most people suffer from spots on their face so they are constantly visible. It becomes a stress feeling that people are looking at you and the problem continues.

In terms of managing the problem then it is wise to follow the tips of drinking water, eating healthy food and being careful of any foods that you know have a bad effect such as flour, nuts, cola or chocolate. If you can cut down on sugary foods entirely and stay away from junk food which is highly processed and is difficult to fully digest then you are making a good start.

But it may be necessary to also take medication to deal with the problem. While some over the counter solutions do very little and can at best temporarily manage the problem, a good solution actually attacks the problem at its core. It will have antioxidants which control the amount of oil in the body so instead of managing acne you are actually stopping it before it begins.

You can find the best Acne Skin Care Solution here. Just Click Here to find out my top recommendation.

An Acne Herbal Hand And Footbath

Author: Rudy Silva
Source: isnare.com

In a book I read by William L. Fischer called Hidden Secrets of Super Perfect Health at Any Age, Book II, 1986, I learn how to do herbal footbaths.

In chapter 10, The F-M Circulizer System, Fischer discusses the use of an herbal footbath. After reading this chapter, I realized how herbs in a footbath could improve your skin and help you eliminate acne.

This book was written in 1986 and Fischer claims herbal footbaths have been in use overseas since 1946!

Now, you can do either a footbath or a hand bath. Once you prepare a container with hot water you can put your feet or hands into it and get the same results.

If you already have foot spa, thank your mother, sister, or whoever bought it because you’re in for a treat. If you don’t, with $20 or $30 you can get one just like I did.

When you use a heated footbath, veins in your feet start to expand. Over a period of 15-20 minute, the warm water affects your entire vascular (blood) system and you get improved blood circulation.

By adding an herbal infusion into the hot water in the footbath, minerals and other phytochemicals from the herbs enter the soles of your feet and into your blood stream.

This means that you can introduce herbal phytochemicals into your blood stream using the footbath. During your footbath, these herbal chemicals quickly circulated throughout your body and get to work neutralizing acid, killing bacteria, and improving your skin circulation.

Here is an herbal combination you can use. This herbal combination was taken and modified slightly from a book written by Daniel B. Mowrey, Ph.D., called The Scientific Validation of Herbal Medicine, 1986. Mowrey says,

“This (herbal) blend attacks external skin disorders from within, purifying the blood, carrying away waste, reinforcing the blood’s ability to ward off infectious agents.”

The herbal combination to use is,

* Dandelion root – purifies blood and improves liver function
* Yellow dock root – purifies blood, helps liver, is anti-bacterial
* Saraparilla root – has antibiotic action, promotes waste elimination through urine and sweating
* Echinacea – increases immunity and promotes skin healing
* Licorice – protects the liver so that it can detoxify the blood better
* Kelp – provide minerals and vitamins and binds heavy metal that are bad for health
* Chaparral – is anti-microbial making effective against acne.
* Fresh Garlic – cut up a few cubes of garlic and place them into the hot water. Garlic is has antibacterial properties.

Buy one ounce of each herb and mix them.

Here’s how to do the herbal footbath,

* Place 2-3 tablespoons of herbal mix into 1 ? cups of water
* Boil the water with herbs – use only a glass, porcelain, or stainless steel container
* After water starts to boil, pull the container off the stove
* Let tea sit for 15-30 minutes. The longer the tea sits the stronger the tea and its effects
* Prepare your foot spa with water
* Strain the tea to remove leaves and roots
* Poor tea and cut garlic into the foot spa
* Place your feet or hands in the hot water for 15 – 30 minutes.

I have been using a foot spa for many different conditions for my family and myself. I really like using the footbath. It is a convenient way to by pass your digestive system and get more nutrients into your body.

Acne Program – Step 9 Protein And 0ther Food To Eat

Author:
Source: articledashboard.com

Eating the right kind of food is what can give you a strong immune system and help you prevent sickness and all kinds of skin blemishes including acne.

Here are some of the foods that can help you overcome the acne on your face or throughout your body.

Protein

Eating excess meat is harmful to your health. Eating too much meat, more than 2-4 ounces per day, has been found to contribute to narrowing of the arteries.

If you do physical labor and are involved in a lot of movement in your work, then you should eat more than 2-4 ounces of protein per day. Just make sure that the meat has a minimum of additives and preservatives.

Remember, meat is high in saturated fat, which blocks the activity of EPA and DHA, which produce prostaglandin and control the activity of your hormones.

Meat and bread is a big contributor to creating constipation. Meat is difficult to digest and many times it will get into the colon partial digested. This condition benefits the bad bacteria and allows them to dominate the colon and create constipation.

Because meat and bread have little fiber, they move slowly in the colon, which leads to constipation and eventually to some type of colon inflammation.

Bad bacteria, decaying meat and other undigested food contribute to the build up of toxic matter in the colon. This is the type of condition you should try to avoid, if you have acne. You need fecal matter in the colon to move regularly and out the rectum, otherwise, toxic matter will build up and end up in your blood stream

Here are the grains you should be eating:

* Brown rice – contain many amino acids that help rebuild skin tissue

* Whole grains – contain folic acid, magnesium, and vitamin E, B vitamins, minerals, and fiber

* Oats – use them in the morning with honey or raisins. Oats have an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin and help to keep you regular.

Seeds and nuts

* Almonds – Almonds contain protein, the B vitamins, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus. Use them as a snack. These small nuts help to build muscles and tissue.

* Flax seeds – These seeds are known for containing plenty of omega 3 oil, an essential oil for life. They also contain fiber when used ground up and put into smoothies. Omega 3 is also an anti-inflammatory oil, which is good for acne.

* Pecans – This is one of the good nuts to eat. It contains Vitamin A, B’s, C, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and potassium. Use them as a snack.

* Pine nuts – these nuts also one of the best to eat. They contain vitamin A, C, B’s, protein and iron.

* Sesame seeds – They are high in calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. They are helpful in relieving various skin diseases such as acne by reducing the swelling.

* Sunflower seeds – These seeds should be used as a snack. They are high in protein, calcium and vitamin A. They provide nutrients for building the whole body and are good for dry skin.

All of these nuts and seeds should be eaten raw. Heating and other processing will kill the life force of the nut or seed and also reduce the quantity of the vitamins and minerals.

Eat these nuts and seeds as snacks. Sesame seeds, sunflower, and flax seeds can be put directly into your blender as you make your smoothies.

Acne Myths: How Conventional ‘Wisdom’ Prevents You From Curing Your Acne

Author: Seppo Puusa
Source: isnare.com

Copiers have taken over!

Do a Google search for ‘acne myths’ and you’ll see what I mean. You’ll end up with an almost endless list of articles about acne myths – all parroting the same old things. Let’s take a fresh look at some of these acne myths and how the ‘conventional wisdom’ may have prevented you from curing your acne

The so called acne myth 1: Acne is caused by diet

This is one of the most common ones. Internet seems to be full of ‘experts’ quoting studies from the 60s saying that no scientific link has been established between diet and acne. That’s true, but it’s also equally true that it’s nearly impossible to study such a link.

Consider the following quotes by different doctors: (Dermatology Times – 5/1/2003)

“There are still a lot of people around who claim that if they eat a lot of chocolate, they break out worse. I don’t know that there are any good, scientifically controlled studies.”

Lee J. Vesper, M.D

“Teen diets vary so widely, you have to have a very controlled study, and how can you do that with teens? You can’t trust teenage boys. There’s no way you can dictate a diet for any length of time that would have an impact on the skin.”

David M. Spencer, M.D.

“A number of years ago, there was a study that said chocolate was not a factor in acne. That was funded by the Hershey Corporation. Some studies had college students eat a certain diet, and offered compensation for that, but they were never really hard, double-blind studies because, how do you do that with food?”

Dennis D. Knutson, M.D.

“I do think the issue needs to be re-looked at, because there have never been very good studies.” on the subject of diet and acne

Dennis D. Knutson, M.D.

And that’s just from one issue of one magazine!

The truth of the matter is that there are no scientifically valid studies to prove a point in either direction. Just use your common sense.

Ok, what’s your average Western diet compromised of? Potatoes, bread (mostly wheat), meat, milk and other dairy products, sugars and fats.

Now, what do all those things have in common? They are hard to digest and take long time to digest and/or don’t digest properly. They sit long time in your stomach giving all the millions of bacteria there time to putrefy them. When something putrefies in your stomach you know it’s not good. You can smell it once the stuff comes out.

Point being, that all those foods create a lots of toxic or acidic waste during metabolism that needs to be eliminated. Your liver is your primary organ for doing that, along with colon and kidneys. However, those organs have only a finite capacity for handling that stuff.

What happens when they reach that capacity? Your body pushes all those toxins out through secondary channels (your skin and lungs, for example).

Now, guess in what kind of environment all that ‘bad’, pimple producing bacteria thrive? Yes, they like acidic/toxic environment. And you just discovered that your body is doing a hell-of-a-job in providing your skin just that.

Could this contribute to acne?

The so-called acne myths 2 & 3: Stress, sex/masturbation causes acne

Let’s deal those together since the mechanisms are basically same.

Levels of certain hormones affect your sex drive. Having sex causes your body to release hormones. Your body responds to stress by releasing hormones. Simple, we all know this.

Once those hormones have served their purpose your body needs to process them to less active stuff and expel them. You probably guessed already that your liver is responsible for processing most of the hormones.

Now your liver is probably already fully booked with all the stuff that you eat. So it needs to push some of the toxics, that it would have otherwise processed, out through your skin to deal with the extra load.

Those hormones alone are probably not enough to cause acne. Combine them with a bad diet (which 90% of the Western population has) and they can make things worse.

The so-called acne myth 4: There is no cure for acne

If you keep on with the life style that caused acne then this acne myth is true. Acne is an effect not a cause. As long as you maintain the cause (overload of toxins/acids) nothing will permanently remove the effect (acne). Clean up your system and acne will be gone all by itself.

Don’t let your hopes down because of some ‘debunkers’ whose only intention is to continue selling you ineffective acne products that will never cure your acne.

Get a fresh perspective on acne, take action and claim the skin you deserve.

After all – if you continue doing the same things you are going to get the same results.
