Did you know people shoplift boxes of condoms more frequently than any other item found a pharmacy’s shelves? Think about it for a second. The reason becomes fairly obvious: people are too embarrassed to be seen with condoms in their possession, let along buying them. And perhaps you’re one of them?the “embarrassed,” not the “shoplifter,” that is? Afraid a friend might enter the pharmacy at the point of purchase. A family member. A neighbor. Your boss! Even confronting the cashier who rings up your, um, purchase, or the person standing behind you in line is a potential source of discomfort. Suddenly anyone you encounter equates what you’re holding with your blushing face, immediately realizing what you’ll be (or at least hope you’ll be) doing that evening. Of course, you could be among the brave who march straight to the counter, box in hand held like it were a trophy, greeting everyone as you go. If you are, you’re luckier than many who become overwhelmed to the point of simply replacing the box and leaving, or, because they cannot do without, shoving the condoms into their pocket and, well, hoping they remembered to lace their sneakers tight that morning.
Of course harrowing experiences for the easily embarrassed do not limit themselves to the pharmacy. In fact, have you ever considered what books people shoplift most frequently from your local bookstore (to likewise avoid embarrassment)? If you guessed self-help books, you’re right. (Interestingly, as a genre, they still manage to outsell any other category on the shelves despite the hordes of shoppers with particularly sticky fingers and deep coat pockets). And not just self-help books related to sexual techniques, marital problems, infidelity or other relationship issues, but also those related to our physical well being, i.e. how to(s) on Health & Fitness.
For example, you may have an issue with acne, bad breath or your weight; browsing the self-help section for a cure of fitness regime only indicates to others that you’re self-conscious about what may be equally obvious to them. Or, you may have an issue with something previously unrecognized by the public including premature ejaculation, intense social anxiety, or warts that suddenly, even without witnessing your issue firsthand, become apparent to others as you flip through titles on the latest remedies. Thus self-help books, while partly the bookstores “bread and butter” are also their “condoms,” so to speak. Shoppers, likewise, are not only too embarrassed to be caught browsing the self-help shelves, but are doubly embarrassed to then parade throughout the store carrying whichever book applies to their specific issue or perceived inadequacy, only to hand it over to a cashier, immediately letting him or her in on the shopper’s previously kept secret. Harrowing indeed.
But, instead of either not buying a book because you are too embarrassed (thus allowing whatever issue ails you to fester and grow), or worse yet shoplifting what is supposed to be self-help, not self-hurt, and potentially subjecting yourself to criminal charges or jail time, you can now find similar information, and often the exact same books, online in an eBook format. Any reader, formerly too embarrassed or otherwise noncommittal about owning up to and confronting their respective issues, perceived inadequacies or habitual vices, can now pursue the diets, cures and other life-enriching methods from the comfort and privacy of their own homes. No more scouring the bookstore shelves or entering the diet center beneath the scrutiny of the public eye. Thanks to Health & Fitness eBooks, anyone can conduct the requisite in-depth and educated research needed to tackle their problems and improve their life, head on, without further worries about answering the prying questions of peers or enduring the judgment of family members.
Download a Health or Fitness related eBook when you want, on your terms; leave a printed version lying about, or keep the digital file tucked safely away on your computer. The choice is yours. Let everyone know (friends, family, neighbors, even your boss!), or limit those who know to those you trust or even to no one at all. Either way, you can begin improving your life immediately at a level of comfort you deserve.
Begin by conducting your research thoroughly, and with the knowledge that eBooks related to Health & Fitness just like their counterparts on the bookstore’s shelves, tackle virtually every issue under the sun, under your roof, or simply within yourself, from how to conquer panic attacks to asthma, jet lag to unsightly moles; turn fat into the muscle mass, a belly into bulging biceps or voluptuous breasts; or even learn to maximize your mind’s potential.
Finally, eBooks, now that most experts write them in addition to their tangible world publications, offer methods to improve your life that simultaneously accommodate any and all lifestyle choices and belief systems. Examples included hypnosis practiced while sipping a cup of coffee before work, natural alternatives that appease both body and spirit, with or without supplements, some secular, others associated with religious practices, and so on. Whatever your lifestyle or beliefs, you’re likely to find a cure for your ails or a program for your future, without necessarily breaking the bank, and perhaps most important, without the embarrassment of confronting your issues with the whole world watching? Now, if only the same could be done for that box of condoms?
br
For many years, network marketing opportunities have been proven to be a legitimate way for entrepreneurs to start their own business and earn profit. Companies such as ACN, Avon, Mary Kay, AmWay and a host of others market their products/services through a network of independent representatives who have face-to-face contact with consumers. Word of mouth promotion has always been incredibly powerful and is more often than not the best way to move goods and services. Unfortunately, there have been businesses of this type that turned out to be nothing more than pyramid schemes whereby commissions would be paid to top tier representatives when new recruits were added to their downline, even if no product or service was being purchased. In those cases, lower level distributors would spend money on their franchise fee yet not be able to recoup their investment due to an unreliable/low grade product or service, that they couldnt find customers for. These MLMs were illegal and tarnished an otherwise honourable business models reputation. In MLM, as with any kind of sales or marketing, you must believe in what you are selling. Never get behind a product/service without first finding out if it is legit, and never fall for schemes selling products/services/business opportunities that make impossible promises. For example, beware of miracle products that promise instant results for wealth, weight loss, acne treatment, muscle/energy building, eternal youth, etc. Try out the products or speak to reliable sources that have. Corporate testimonials will obviously be biased (even if completely true), so it is wise to do your own research to validate the claims. Ask yourself if people will really buy what you are marketing, and if it is reasonably priced. Make sure that the MLM you are joining only pays commissions when merchandise is actually moved, not just when new recruits sign up. Selling a theoretical business opportunity is illegal. It must be proven that the companys wares are legitimate and are being distributed in order for revenue to be generated from which commissions can then be paid out. Take the time to understand the federal/regional regulations and consumer rights as well. Make sure that there are no complaints against the company with the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and/or Consumer Protection Agency. Also, watch out for companies that promise big earnings and instant success. If something sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Stay away from any franchise opportunity that requires representatives to purchase a large amount of inventory to get started. With the many options available, along with the general stigma that has for the most part wrongly been associated with network marketing, people may have difficulty deciding which MLM businesses are legitimate and which are not. The easiest way to gather as much information as possible before making any commitment would be to talk to people you trust who are, or have been in network marketing. If you dont know any such people, you should visit various companies websites to see what they are about. Visit online forums to hear what others have to say about their experiences. Watch out for recruiters, both online and offline. These people will be eager to find distributors because they are getting paid to do so. They will always paint an over hyped, rosy picture of their business. Avoid these phonies at all cost! Before signing on the dotted line, make sure you are comfortable with the expectations of the company. Remember that part of the job with network marketing companies will involve working with others one-on-one, as well as having to push a product/service/business opportunity in various settings. Therefore, marketers need to keep in mind that there will be some pressure from the company to meet the minimum sales requirements and to make commissions. Take the time to read over your contract and never sign on the dotted line under pressure. If you can, talk to other MLM distributors and ask them about what to expect in the work and how they manage their time and energy. In recent decades, MLM has gotten a bad reputation due to several dishonest companies and unfortunate incidents. One has to keep in mind though, that no industry is immune to this and network marketing is no different, and no worse. Also, quite a few people who joined network marketing companies and did absolutely no work, while expecting to magically become rich have gone around unfairly trashing the business. This still happens and should never cloud your judgement. On the flipside many people have made a reasonable income in legitimate multi level marketing firms. The key is to find a good product/service with a company that is nationally known and reliable. Once you have a winner, it will only be a matter of hard work, time, and patience before your franchise is a winner as well. br
At times it can seem as though the airwaves (especially late at night) are saturated
with commercials touting the latest cure for hair loss. Some of the most ubiquitous
advertisements are for hair transplant surgery. Many are familiar with the Hair Club
For Mens famous tagline: Im not just the president, Im also a client.
(Incidentally, the company is now named Hairclub to indicate its wider focus on
the hair restoration needs of men, women and children.)
Hair transplantation surgery is a controversial business. In 1996, Bosley Medical
Group settled a lawsuit leveled against it by the district attorney of Los Angeles for
nearly $650,000. The attorney general alleged that the company had engaged in
dishonest and harmful advertising about its services. Specifically, the attorney
general said that before and after photos of hair restoration surgery were
misleading and that the amount of pain the procedures caused was minimized.
Despite these allegations, Bosley Medical Group continued to attract clients. And, in
August 2001, the firm was sold to the Aderans Group, a Japanese wig manufacturer,
for $45 million.
How can we explain consumers continued uptake of hair transplant surgery,
despite the risks and uncertain results associated with the procedure? The success
of the hair restoration business can be partially attributed to the power of emotional
branding.
Continue reading for an overview of emotional branding, an analysis of how it drives
hair replacement surgery sales and how pharmaceutical companies have employed it
in product advertising. The final section provides guidance on how you can utilize
emotional branding to boost uptake of your products and services.
Emotional Branding: What Is It?
Emotional branding refers to marketing communications activities that seek to
connect a brand to specific consumer feelings and emotions. Marketing expert Marc
Gobe has suggested that successful emotional branding brings a new level of
credibility and personality to a brand by connecting powerfully with people at a
personal and holistic level. Gobe cites Ben Jerrys, Nike and MTV as a few of the
brands that have successfully identified their customers most basic needs and
moved to satisfy them.
Emotional Branding and Hair Replacement Surgery
Drs. James Harris and Emmanuel Marritt, authors of The Hair Replacement
Revolution, have asserted that men unconsciously associate hair loss with death.
Specifically: Loss of hair = Loss of youth = Inevitable aging = Death.
The powerful emotions associated with hair loss are significant drivers of behavior.
Hair replacement surgery marketers have learned to leverage these emotions. Their
advertisements suggest that hair restoration surgery is a safe, highly effective
procedure that can forestall death. This brand of emotional marketing speaks to
the most basic of human desires: long life and prolonged physical attractiveness.
The emotional branding associated with hair transplant surgery has driven sales of
procedures despite their expense, uncertain results and safety concerns. It appears
that the procedures ability to mask the appearance of aging is enough to convince
people to undergo it – in spite of the risks.
Emotional Branding and the Pharmaceutical Industry
While the hair transplant industry has successfully utilized the power of emotional
branding, pharmaceutical companies have had mixed results with this marketing
tactic.
Traditionally, pharmaceutical marketers have sought to differentiate medications
according to their functional attributes. For example, Kos Pharmaceuticals has
differentiated its cholesterol medication, Niaspan, by focusing on the fact that it
significantly raises good or HDL cholesterol. Other cholesterol medications like
Lipitor primarily lower bad or LDL cholesterol.
Since 1997, pharmaceutical companies have increasingly used DTC (direct-to-
consumer) advertising to tout the emotional benefits of their medications to
patients. Some of these benefits include increased vitality and mobility (anti-pain
medication Vioxx), freedom (allergy medication Claritin) and empowerment (acne
medication Differin).
The pharmaceutical industry has been roundly criticized for its advertising efforts.
Critics have suggested that DTC advertisements have boosted sales of expensive
drugs. In addition, they have noted that some heavily advertised medications have
been proven unsafe. Commercials for Vioxx, which Merck removed from the market
in 2004, have been cited as an especially egregious example of irresponsible
pharmaceutical marketing.
Pharmaceutical marketers have responded to calls for more responsible DTC
advertising. In August 2005, the Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers
Association (PhRMA) announced new industry guidelines. A key objective of the
recommendations is to educate patients more effectively about the benefits and
risks of medications.
These developments have prompted significant changes in the tone and tenor of
recent pharmaceutical advertisements. In general, advertisements have begun to
feature physicians and other health care professionals more prominently. In
addition, some commercials have focused more on increasing consumer awareness
of a disease state than promoting a specific product.
This adjustment in advertising strategy can be viewed as another form of emotional
branding. With the headlines filled with news about product withdrawals and
lawsuits, the industry has concluded that people want reassurance. The primary
emotion that the new advertisements convey is security. Manufacturers want people
to feel comfortable about taking a medication. One way to do this is to ensure that
information about the risks and benefits of medications is clearly communicated.
Emotional Branding and You
Organizations of all types can benefit from emotional branding. The more people
associate a product or service with a positive emotion, the more willing they will be
to rely on it. For example, after the tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, the American
Red Cross received the vast majority of donations. People may have felt secure
supporting the Red Crosss efforts because they trusted it. They believed that the
organization would deliver what it promised.
However, recent developments indicate that the Red Crosss brand reputation is at
serious risk. In December 2005, Congress began investigating allegations that the
organization was slow to respond to Katrina and provided uneven service —
especially to African Americans. It will be critical for the Red Cross to quickly
address the concerns of its constituents and Congress to maintain its position as
one of Americas preeminent service organizations.
Following are some ways to strengthen the emotional quotient of a brand and reap
the benefits of emotional branding.
* Focus On The Customer: Customers respond well to brands that establish
partnerships based on mutual respect. Organizations should respect customers
boundaries and respond to their needs.
* Fulfill The Customers Desires: Try to associate your product or service with a
customers desires rather than needs. For example, a customer needs a car to get
from point A to point B. However, they may desire a car that will make
them feel different, flattered or important. To be more successful, fulfill your
customers desires.
* Be Trustworthy: Deliver on your brand promise: Be what you say, and say what
you mean. This builds trust and trust drives uptake.
* Build A Relationship: Customers like to feel that those they are dealing with care
and respond to their needs and desires – both stated and unstated.
Emotional branding is a powerful and useful tool. When applied correctly, it can
boost uptake of your products and services and help you establish a stronger bond
with your customers.
br
This article is going to cover what is sometimes referred to as an online science. OK, stay with me and dont panic. Those of you who know me by now are aware that I like to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible. So hang on in there, take the next few minutes to read this, and Im pretty sure youll be glad you did.

Now, as we all know, one of the main reasons people use the internet is to search for information. By providing people with this information we can make money. We simply find out what it is that people are searching for, and then provide them with it. Simple, yes?

OK, now heres the thing. If you can optimise your website to show up whenever people in your niche market search for information on that subject, the potential is there to make a huge amount of money online. For example, if someone typed in acne cure and you are the top website (or even in the top ten) in google for that search term, you can pick up loads of free visitors to your site and explode your online income.

You are probably thinking, as so many do, that topping the search engines is the preserve of large companies, or those with massive budgets. So you will be pleasantly surprised when I tell you that the truth of the matter is that its actually free when you know how. Im going to show you how to top the results for your keywords related to the service or products you sell. We are going to be able to do it quickly, relatively easily, and most importantly, without spending a single penny.

Right, so where do we start? The first thing you need to do is create a large list of keywords directly related to your niche or service. We do this by using http://www.freekeywords.wordtracker.com So lets say you were selling a product on How to grow the perfect rose garden. You would go to that link and type in rose garden. Now make a huge list of all the keywords that show up that are directly related to rose gardening.

Once you have a list of around 50 or so keywords you are ready to start optimising your site for the search engines. Please dont let the name search engine optimisation (often abbreviated to SEO) put you off. Its not as technical as it sounds, and you certainly dont need to be a techie whizzkid to be able to do it. Do it correctly and it doesnt have to be technical at all.

OK, you have your list of keywords. What do you do with them? By writing an article focusing around one of the keywords you found, then adding it to your site, you have an optimised web page, thats it in a nutshell. So lets say you wrote an article on rose gardening design that was optimised correctly and then added to your site, you can rank well and get free traffic from one 500 – 700 word article. At the bottom of the article you can link to your sales page selling your product or service.

By writing an article that is optimised for search engines, and adding it on a web page on your site you immediately have a web page that can rank very well. The key to writing good SEO articles is to be true to the subject at hand. Make sure that your article contains relevant information, and a substantial proportion of keyword scattered throughout your article. Include a keyword or phrase in the title of your article. Also include a minimum of two keywords or phrases in the beginning and ending paragraphs of your article.

Finally, scatter keywords in the body of your article. If you have a 500 word article, aim for a minimum of one keyword or phrase per paragraph. Write your article for your product, dont just put keywords in for the sake of it. Do not force the keyword issue. Your articles must be forthright, literate, easy and entertaining to read. Some writers sacrifice grammar and content for the sake of a keyword placement. Dont do that. When searchers are directed to an article of yours that happens to contain sloppy grammar, bad spelling, and an untidy look, they may just decide to look elsewhere.

Article writing is not difficult. However, if you feel that you dont want to do it yourself for whatever reason then it is very easy using one of the many freelance wesites available such as www.elance.com to find a writer prepared to do it for you, the finished article will be yours, with your copyright, and should not have cost a fortune. Articles of between 500 – 750 words ranging between $1.00 and $15.00. Just be sure to communicate fully with the writer you choose so they are totally aware of your requirements. Dont be afraid to ask for previous work samples, and dont necessarily choose the cheapest. It may be a good deal, but do your homework. One way is to ask him (or her) to provide one article for you, in exchange for which you pay them for that one article and use it as criteria for judging their qualifications.
Well thats one way to optimise your site using keywords. Simply write an optimised article, turn it into a webpage dedicated to that keyword and add it to your site. Try it, the worst can happen is you lose a little time ( but surely learn a lot in the process) but you could well be pleasantly surprised at the results.br
Network marketing (also known as multilevel marketing) is an extremely popular business model these days for products of all kinds. In fact, there are those who think network marketing will be the dominant form of product sales and distribution in the not too distant future. Why not? The model significantly reduces the direct cost of product promotion from traditional methods of advertising, and puts a vast sales network in play on a companys behalf. At the same time, it provides motivated individuals with an opportunity to supplement their regular income, or even replace and go well beyond it if they perform.
There are many different types of network marketing programs, and a vast array of products available through them. Some are clearly better than others. At the same time, some programs have restrictions on an individuals ability to participate in other programs (competitive or otherwise). That being the case, it is important when making the decision to enter the network marketing realm that the right product offering be selected. There are three things to consider in that regard.
Repeat Sales = Residual Income
The big draw of network marketing from the perspective of one becoming a representative is that it can provide a stream of residual income with little to no sustained direct product sales effort. This residual income is in the form of commissions earned on sales to ones direct customers and those in her/his network. Of course, commissions are only earned when someone actually buys something. In a program which is based on a single purchase type of product offering (as is the case with many affiliate programs), the whole focus becomes recruiting new representatives for your downline as that is really the only way to keep generating sales, and thereby residual income. That can be hard to sustain, though.
A better situation is dealing with products which are going to mean repeat buyers. These are consumable items used all the time. The bigger, more well-known network marketing programs generally have this covered by offering products like vitamin supplements and household goods (soap, paper products, etc.). By providing things people purchase on a regular basis, they produce a steady stream of sales, and therefore commissions.
Fewer Customer Buying Decisions is Better
Products which require the customer to make just a single buying decision are generally going to be better than those which demand one to consciously make repeat purchases. Consider the case of a consumer product like soap as an example. When one needs more soap, a new buying decision is required. That soap could be purchased through the network marketing program, but that customer could just as easily stop by the local store on the way home from work.
Now consider a product which comes in the form of a monthly service or subscription – phone service, for example. These kinds of products generate repeat sales essentially automatically. In fact, the customer would actually have to make a conscious decision to stop purchasing (cancel the phone service and/or switch to another). Thats the opposite of what happens with soap and other consumable physical products as noted above. The result is that customers of these kinds of products are more likely to be long-term sources of sales revenue, and therefore commissions.
The Product Offer Must Keep up with the Times
No matter what kind of product offering you go with, the provider must be able to stay up-to-date. This is especially important with anything technical. As you know, the pace of change in technology is rapid, so it is critical that the provider of the products and/or services distributed through the network be able to keep pace with the changes.
Carrying the phone service example above forward, it would be a bad situation to be tied in with a network marketing program where the product offering was strictly traditional land-line service. Consider the growth and expansion of mobile and digital phone services, not to mention other telecommunications offerings. One could easily see customers falling by the wayside as they switch over to the more modern products. For that reason, it is important to see how well the network marketing program being considered does in keeping its product mix as fresh as possible.
Network marketing can be a very fulfilling venture, both financially and personally, with the appropriate effort and focus. As with any venture, success is never a sure thing. It can, however, be significantly improved by selecting the network marketing program with the right product offerings.
Like any other MLM business opportunity youre likely to come across, ACN (American Communication Network, Inc.) has its fair share of good, bad, and downright ugly. Its crucial that youre familiar with all aspects of whatever MLM business you decide to go with so you know which ones are doable and will play to your strengths. At this point, its important to distinguish between a legitimate MLM business opportunity and a fraud. For that, lets start with a practical definition for an MLM business. Any MLM is essentially a retail system where people, most often called distributors, build and manage their own sales force, or network. These distributors are compensated based on the sales of the sales force under them in addition to their personal sales. If youre trying to figure out if an alleged MLM business opportunity is for real or not, watch out for compensation plans that only pay you to recruit new people into the network but dont compensate you (no matter how little) for sales at your level. The Company Lets get back to ACN. The company started out in 1992 as the marketing arm for LCI communications, a long distance reseller. It was founded by Robert Stevanovski, Greg Provenzano, Tony and Mike Cupisz with only 20 distributors. In its first year, revenues reached $2 million and by 1998, it reported an annual revenue of $98.1 million. ACN operates in 20 countries which include Australia, New Zealand as well as parts of Europe, Asia and North America. Another thing to take notice of is that Donald Trump (you know from the hit seriesThe Apprentice – his trademark phrase isYour Fired!) actively endorses ACN. This endorsement gives the company serious credibility as a legitimate MLM business opportunity. Think about it. Why would a billionaire risk ruining his reputation partnering with an illegitimate company? He wouldnt, plain and simple. The Product Among other products, ACN provides a digital phone service, high speed Internet access, a wireless service, local and long distance calls, satellite TV, video phone, and home security services. No red flags here. The very fact that theyve been in business since 1992 should also tell you that theyre here to stay and not some fly-by-night MLM business. So far, so good. It seems like the easiest thing to sell because you wont have any inventory to buy or keep every single month; you wont need to approach the same customer every month to make a new sale once a deal is closed; and you wont have to ask people to spend money that isnt already part of their budget for those monthly services. And then you get to the compensation plan. The Compensation Plan ACNs compensation plan is one of the more complicated plans youll come across in MLM. You can look up the details on your own but the bottom line is that it will take an enormous amount of work to get to the point where it pays off for the distributor in residuals. This is not said to discourage you, but rather to warn you. Distributors can choose between 2 starting levels, either $99 or $499. To merely qualify for the meager 2%-8% commission on acquiring new customers (depending on what starting level you choose –$99 or $499), you would have to maintain at least 6 connected long distance customers or 8 customers using any ACN service. Once you qualify, you receive 0.25% from levels 1 through 5 of your downline, 1% on level six, and 6% on level 7. So to get to 6% commissions, you would have to build your own network to seven levels and make sure everyone on that line is at top performance in order to meet additional requirements of the compensation plan. Thats a lot of work with very little incentive to keep you going while youre building up your network! For example, just to qualify for the first earned level -Executive Team Trainer – you must be a Team Trainer with a minimum of 20 personal billing customers and have directly sponsored and qualified 3 Team Trainers by helping each of them acquire 6 connected long distance customers or 8 customers using any ACN servicewithin the required time(4 weeks). Each earned level comes with its own set of arcane qualifying criteria making the top earned level–Regional Vice President – almost as easy as hitting the lottery. The Verdict Im not against working hard towards achieving a worthwhile goal but in the final analysis, ACNs compensation plan is simply not designed for someone just starting out in an MLM business. This MLM opportunity is only forpower recruiters who can maintain the extremely high level of commitment needed to see their efforts amount to something substantial. I would not be surprised to see unusually high attrition levels with this MLM business. Not that it bothers ACN much since theyll still be making money every month from every customer youve ever acquired, even if you decide ACN isnt the right fit for you and leave. One way to combat a high attrition rate and become the power recruiter necessary to really build your ACN MLM business is through the biggest marketplace on the planet – the Internet. This way you really can market ACN all across the globe.br

Multi Level Marketing, also known as MLM, is basically the direct selling of products and or services via an independent representative. You would sign up with a MLM company such as ACN and start marketing their products. For every product you sell you will earn a commission. There are 2 ways you make money with MLM. The first way is by selling the products and the second way is my recruiting other sales reps that will also sell the products and recruit sales reps of their own. With ACN you are paid a residual income on every product you sell. This basically means you do the work once and get paid for as long as the customer keeps the service. You will also receive residual income on all the sales your downline or recruits make. Multi-level marketing is all about marketing a product or service multiple levels deep. The more products you sell and the more recruits you have selling the products, the more money you will make. MLM has a bad rep but in all honesty, its a great home based business opportunity for the right person. If you are self-disciplined and have great time management skills, you could be very successful at this type of business model. Once you have build your customer base and your downline to a certain level, you can literally stop working and live off of the residual income alone. With ACN you will be offering services such as wireless, internet, home security and much more. All of these services are in very high demand and will be for many years to come. If you position yourself correctly you could be bringing in a nice monthly income within a few short months.

Here is a step by step guide on writing a winning sales letter. Follow these procedures and you will have a letter that will boost your sales, no matter what you are selling.

Step 1: Start with a strong headline
The headline is the most important aspect of the letter, and it must be in bold, large, eye-catching print. It must also be compelling enough to make the reader continue reading. Write at least 50 headlines, show them to colleagues, and pick the one that seems strongest.

Step 2: Write the copy
Work on the body of the letter, and make it personal and friendly, as if you are talking to a good friend. Include a good story in the copy. This is very important. Everyone loves a good story, and this is the perfect way to draw the reader in. If you are writing a letter for an acne product, talk about how you once had really bad acne and were embarassed to go to social events, etc. or whatever.

Step 3: Create at least 1 or 2 bulleted lists
People read bullet points. So make a list of the main benefits of your product, and create your list. Emphasize how the product will benefit the buyer, (do not just list features). Include this list in the main copy to break up the text and create variety.

Step 4: Use testimonial boxes
Gather testimonials for your product. You can do this by offering the product for free to a number of people, in return for their feedback. Then put these testimonials in colored boxes, and sprinkle them in over the body of the text. Testimonials are very powerful and lend credibility to your claims.

Step 5: At the end, slap on a guarantee
People love guarantees, and they have been shown to increase the number of sales. The best ones are 60 or 90-day money back guarantees.

Step 6: Create urgency and a call to action
This should also come toward the end. Tell the reader you only have 100 copies left of your book, or whatever. You must include something that compels the reader to buy now, not next week.

Step 7: Include FREE bonuses
Everyone loves getting more than what they paid for. Include at least 2 or 3 bonuses at the end, and make sure they are valuable things that somebody would normally pay money for.

That’s it! Make sure you reread the letter, get feedback, and check all grammar and spelling. Writing a good sales letter is a skill and your first few attempts might not produce the best results. Keep improving your sales letter, and test different versions to see if you can improve the response rate (this is called split-testing). And finally, read lots of sales letters written by other people. Save the ones that are so good they got you to buy. The best way to learn is to dissect what the pros are doing.
